Before joining the SBDC, Maria worked in Human Resources in the construction industry where she was responsible for benefits administration, risk and policy management, and IFTA/IRP audits. Prior to this, Maria was President/Publisher of Ashleigh Publishing Group, a journal and book publisher, and she previously held leading newspaper circulation and human resource roles with Media News Group, Knight-Ridder, and Mirage Resorts Inc.
