Business Resiliency Bootcamps
The Kansas SBDC was recently awarded a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration to conduct six Resiliency Boot Camps in rural, drought-affected Kansas communities. Each Boot Camp, consisting of three workshops, empowers existing businesses with skills, knowledge, and resources for resilience and adaptability, to promote the financial success of local businesses and job retention in these communities.

Bootcamp Workshops
I. Strategies for Improving Financial Management 9:00 a.m. -12 p.m.
This workshop will cover the following topics: how to track your finances, how to understand financial statements, cash flow management strategies, managing seasonality, pricing strategies, and planning for profit.
II. Thrifty Marketing12:50 p.m.- 2:05 p.m.
- This workshop will cover the following topics: How to identify and understand your target customers, how to communicate your value, no-cost and low-cost ways to reach your customers, and creative strategies to market your business without spending a lot of money.
III. Using AI Tools to Support Business Management 2:15 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- This workshop will provide an overview of how AI tools can be used to help small businesses, what are the costs for using AI tools, tips for getting started, and best practices for risk mitigation when using AI tools.
